We’re back in Kalamata after a wonderful week at anchor in the small bay in front of Petalidi, Greece. It’s a sweet little town, very limited tourism, no cruise ships, but everything else you could need, including pleasant and reasonably priced waterfront tavernas.
But, idle hands and all that, your correspondent did a little research on the megayacht (with helicopter) that we saw a couple weeks ago. It turns out, if Serafina doesn’t meet your needs (no marble, no gilded fixtures), that you can rent the Motor Yacht “Air” for a party with friends! And, given the sagging euro, and what appears to be an oversupply of megayachts, you can get it at bargain prices! Only 700,000 euros for a week (plus an estimated 40,000 euros in expenses – you know, stuff like fuel, toilet paper, caviar and so on.
